Wow, I had the same experience. We decided to check them out. After an elaborate sales they tried to sell us on the $15,000 package, and when we declined, the “offer” got lower and lower… they had us talking to 4 different sales people (none were Indian) and when we refused to budge, they did give us a certificate for Niagra falls. This is really not worth your time. They say that you can’t bring your kids, but we have to show up with the spouse, basically everything everyone has been saying above. I feel so stupid for even going!

This is a huge scam, when I asked questions where are you calling from? He said Woodbridge with the heaviest Indian accent, I said what’s the weather like then he didn’t know how to answer and YOU DON’T TRUST ME I said why should I he started to swear at me and hung up. I know 100000% this is fraud and garbage because I have never filled out any ballots in my life I don’t believe in them.

To Robyn who wrote a comment about them, you are probably the Indian that is calling us so first learn how to spell and when you write i alone its writing in capital like this I.

I just got the same call from these idiots. They offered me me a the Niagara or Vegas trip and said i filled out a ballot between Easter & Christmas last year.
Funny thing is I was not even married or common law during that time so I’m not sure what couple they are talking about. I was curious and went along with it and a couple of minutes later i get a call from a guy named Rob.
He tried asking for first and last name and i told him i don’t provide personal info on the phone so he asked for just just last. I went along and gave a fake ones to setup an appointment. Said he will call to confirm before the actual appointment.

I’ll reschedule a couple of times before telling him to get lost.
SCAMMERS!!!!!

Received the same call advising that I filled out a ballot in some mall somewhere in the GTA, and won a free vacation. I became suspicious when after asking the agent’s name, he responded ” Shawn Archer”, but sounded like more like a “Quasi” from west Africa or ” Krishna” from south Asia . This agent insisted on verifying my marital status and he need to know so he could proceed with giving me info to claim my prize at 690 Round Tree, in Woodbridge.
As the conversation went on, i became increasingly irritable because he kept insisting I must have filled out a ballot while shopping in some mall during the Christmas time — I don’t celebrate Christmas and I have never filled out any ballots. He said if I don’t trust him, I could speak to his manager. I said absolutely . He then said his manager is busy person and would call me in five minutes. I ended the call. Two mins later a manager person called and wanted to verify some personal details after which he’d give me my prize-claim code. I told him i feel he was up to shady business and should stop preying on hard working honest people. He quickly muttered a feeble goodbye and hanged up.

It’s a bad bad, evil world I tell ya. Shocking!!!

Same thing! SuiteLife Vacations strikes again. I just won a vacation to Vegas or Niagara Falls. I was one of out 15 names drawn. They were calling from Buffalo, NY, but had a local office in Woodbridge.

They used the phone number:
716-332-6622, but it showed up as a private number on my phone.

Sounds like a GREAT vacation deal, I’m so excited that I won.

I just got a call from them myself. To the person commenting that they should go back to India. They are sitting in a call centre somewhere in India (hence the accents) so don’t have to go back was suggested. They have a Buffalo routing number so that the Canadian company behind this “Suitelife Vacations” cannot be directly linked to abuses of the Canadian telecoms stardards because they are not using a Canadian number and so that they can give gullible people the false sense of security that they are dealing with someone here in ‘civilized” North America. Interesting that this particular scam originated here in Canada. I spoke with Sam Jones and then David . Quite laughable really because they tried to convince me that they were in Buffalo. After I had fun with them I let them off the hook (literally). Anyway I guess my point is that we need to direct our attention to the Canadian based company that is driving this scam and not a poor guys struggling to make a living by ‘selling’ this gargage to make ends meet. These call centres are like sweatshops where targets are high and strict, pay is low. I sympathize with them but not enough to endure their stupid calls. However the fact that this company is still in business would suggest that they are making money through these practice and we need target our ire at them.

I was just on the phone – same story about how I won, and the rep kept asking me why I wasn’t over the moon with this offer, he ended the call by saying his manager would call me back with the confirmation number so I have proof of my winnings woohoo..! soooo glad I found this site before I picked up the next call, or else I would have wasted another 5 – 10 mins of my life.
I’m terrible as I’m always giving people the benefit of the doubt, but this time since i’m sure it’s a scam, I think i’ll have a bit of fun with them if they call back when i’m out of the office.. I see 4 missed calls in the last 5 mins already!

Moneris has also left me with a sour taste in the mouth. After 10 years with them I decided to retire and because they had automatically renewed my contract last fall, I owed them a $300 + HST cancellation fee. I could understand this is I were new or transferring to another company, but this is just a cash grab. Three months later they billed me for a month of equipment use because I did not cancel until the 4th day of the month. Again another cash grab. I did not receive a final statment and customer service s good a quoting their merchant contract, but a copy is not to be found on their website or anywhere else. Stay away from the slimeball operation.

I too got the call, number was 716-406-8687, then call back from the manager at 716-332-6622. I was told I am a guaranteed winner-only request is to hear a seminar about their vacation packages and spread the word.
I am to go to a 90 minute seminar in Woodbridge and choose my prize I have already won (100 names from 2800, from the last few years) between 5 night package at a 5 star hotel anywhere in North America for 2 adults and 2 kids, or 4 nights at a 5-star hotel for 4 adults to Las Vegas. No flights are included.
I have read the comments and sat through similar seminars and will not go. My time is too valuable.

Minutes from writing this reply, i received a call from Robert Garcia, an Asian sounding dude, from Suite Life Vacations. Right off the bat, I knew it’s a scam but yeah, just like some of you, I listened to what he had to offer. My “won” prize was a choice of a 5 days, 4 nights trip for 4 to North America destinations or a stay at a Las Vegas hotel (forgot how many nights) good for 8 people. Yeah right! Then I was instructed to claim my prize at 690 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, On. Did anyone else mention Woodbridge earlier? I wonder what’s in Woodbridge, eh? Suite Life Vacations just like Woodbridge, I think. Anyway, if you get a call from 716-332-6622, you’re in for a ride.

Holly Shit!

I just got off the phone from the same company… the guy I spoke to was obviously either an indian or a pakistani guy.

He pretty much told me what everyone was talking about – that I’m the Big Winner! Lol…

The guy mentioned to me that their company is called “Suite Lise” (that’s the spelling he provided, which I repeated 5x and he said yes) more like “Sweet Lies” to me.

If he didn’t have a thick accent, I may have fallen for it. Luckily, I’m not stupid… Lol… so I started searching while he was talking so I decided to hang up the phone once I found this website.

He called me 10x… I guess he saw dollar signs once I told him that I take vacations at least twice a year.

I’m so thankful for everyone who posted their experiences from the same company.

All I know is… If it’s too good to be true… then it’s NOT true…

and fuck that bitch.

Just got the exact same call as Peter above, same number. I could barely understand them and and just hung up as soon as I heard I had ‘won’ a vacation.

Anyway…..the interesting thing was that I usually don’t get these kind of calls on my cell. This one came in within minutes of me verifying my cell number with Google for my gmail account. Very interesting indeed….

Same thing happened to me.

Two weeks ago I got a call from 1800 number 9 AM!!! Sunday morning (freaking annoying!!)
A guy with a heavy Indian accent was talking and talking (I has half sleepy and barely understood what he was saying..) I had him repeat himself so many time to finally understand.. That I supposedly won two vacations stays any where in north America!! I was so sceptical that I was almost rude!!..from the begging I wanted to hang up I told him straight up it’s a scam leave me alone!!!
He insisted and insisted… He was telling me that I field a form in a mall during charismas time (I did no do any shopping during charismas time!!!) I was working the whole time even my shopping was done on line..!!! but because I was so busy at that time I was not sure if I really did or not! So I asked him tell me where did I filed that form?
He sad I am not sure, he said we receive 100 of 1000 I cant tell you where exactly!!!! When I told him so you are tying to tell me that I wont two vacations prizes for a certain amout of 1000$ of $ and you do not even have a system to track where the wining ticket came from?!! So desperately he says we have our cards in many store and in many malls in Toronto and he was giving me the list of malls in Toronto!! like I didn’t know..!!
I also noticed that as soon as he called he said he was a manager and towards the end he told me that a manager will call me to give me the wining code!!! So I say: aren’t you a manager he says: yes yes I am but she is a different manager!!!!!!!
So now I ask him his name and guess what: Paul Smith yes Paul Smith, in the back of my mind I was like BS*** really Paul smith with your heavy Indian accent any ways..he asked me when the manager can call me back I said any time.. few hours later this Nick calls she was so rude and she asked me what was my name I was like you dont have my name ?? she says oh Paul did not give me the name so I told her asked Paul for my name… in this case..She gave me an address and a phone number: ********** ____________ Vacation
on Rowtree bairly unit *, ON.

her phone number is: **********. She also said she will be calling me back to confirm the appointment for me to go pick up my prize and she never did. So I called them back I spoke to an assistant who told me that I would have to watch a show??!! and I am like show!! no one told me anything about any show??!!!

She transferred my call to a certain David, he denied that there was a show he said its only a presentation of our services and we will be offering a meal.

Oh now that I remember they wanted to know my marital status so badly are you married are you a couple what is the name of your spouse and am like what do you need that for he goes for the reservation!! So I told him you have my name for now that that’s enough

He sent me an email to confirm, i was dump enough to respond to the email cz now that have my email too!!..

Telus is incapable of providing any kind of service. Even poor service would be a high rating for them. When I moved over a year ago, they did and continue to screw up everything they do. I have cancelled my cell phone and see no option other than to cancel my phone phone and internet. I am to this day unable to collect and use my email on both my mail programs and their webmail. They tell me they know there are problems and tell me it is still going to be another couple of months before it is fixed. I have been hearing this for the last year so why would I believe it ever will be working. They claimed on their Facebook page that they wanted to hear from customers, but I received a phone call from their “Executive Branch” warning me about further negative posts. They have now blocked me both from their Facebook and sending them messages. Guess they really don;t want to hear about it.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING SAID UP THERE. these people just called me, I googled the adress and this was the first article to pop up (thank lord) same pitch this time they changed it up and had the indian guy talk to me first claming to be assistant manager 716-332-6622 is his number, one mr. mark robinson (omg really?) then explained my ‘prize’ and said all the legitimate stuff. then asked if his ‘senior manager’ could call me with the code and adress (which I googled) and while I was talking to the asian guy I was scrolling down and reading the comments, I started saying how I wanted to bring my partner or a family member but he insisted that family and friends wernt allowed at the office (wtf) only spouses. I ended up saying that my partner and I were both 20 and if we eere alloed to claim the vegas one and he pulled off some bs saying you checked off that you were both over 26, and I’m like welll sorry I wasted your time! please don’t fall for this people especially young women who are actually going to go to the office, who knows what they actually have planned.

i Just got a call from Bob from +************. They told me that they are calling from Suitelife vacations and i have won a prize ( 2 options to choose from). i was very skeptical as i do not remember filling any ballot . it was a south asian voice with a very heavy ascent. He said that i do not need to give any details or there is no obligation on my part to buy anything. I just need to go in for a presentation. He then passed on the call to his manager who asked me my name- what you don’t have my name????????how come i filled a ballot without a name?? I asked him to send me an email confirmation which comes from a gmail id asking me to go this Saturday 23rd February ’13 at Woodbridge, ON, to get a fabulous vacation getaway.

I live in Burlington – do you think it is worth the hasstle of travelling all the way to Woodbridge or is it all fake? Reading the comments some people actually got the prize LOL…any comments suggestions …

Just received a call from these guys. Said I had 2 trip offers. Just had to pay air fare. Not sure how but they called my work number which is a separate phone line. And the number on the application was my Moms old cell phone. That seems a bit strange. Anyways, all my bells and whistles were going off. Push all these companies, and make them kiss you and compete, in the end they will be very similar from TD Bank (Beamscape), Moneris with eSelectPlus, and First Data Corporation.

The problem is when you get into e-commerce applications, they have so many hidden fee’s it makes me sick, and a list of options that are confusing as…

The market is in flux, i suspect one will win out over the others in the coming 2-3 years.

7164068687, Same things happened to me as mentioned above. These guys on the phone are so hard to understand because of their accents. They go by the name of suite life vacations. Gave me an address of 690 rowntree derry unit 201.

Given the name Kevin Dale as the manager (fake name of course) and number 716-330-6622. they have a few complaints against them with the BBB.

They also asked me why I didn’t sound excited and I told him because I think this is a scam…. which now I’m 100% sure it is.

My parents always told me, nothing in life is free.

Just an FYI, all the credit card processors in Canada will have the assessment fee increase come April 1st. Minumum increase is to %.12 dont bother hopping to another provider, all processors sent out notes in their statements advising merchants of this change.

OMG i just got a call from suite life vacations, the guys sounded Asian and told me that i had won a vacation from a ballot that i filled out, he said oh maybe i don’t remember. he said i don’t have to pay anything but the taxes. Gave me an address in woodbridge and told me to go collect my prize, since i was so skeptical about this scam going around, he kept asking oh how come you are not excited to win this vation. after collecting all the info i googled the name of the company which brought me here. They are now calling themselves suitelife international, I asked if it was the suitelife vacations and the young man on the phone denied, but the address he gave me is the same and the pitch about dinner, $800 prize including a free stay in Niagara falls, I said I don`t want the Niagara prize can I pick another one he said it`s a draw so yeah probably the Niagara falls would be the prize, shame that these people continue to scam he said I filled out a ballot at the woman`s show back in 2011 wow and I only getting the prize now, how come, he said they tried to contact me before, again I ask are you the same as suitelife vacations, he said no, then why do you have the same address and pitch, after an awkward silence I asked for their phone number so I could call back if I decided, he said you can`t call back, I ask what do you mean I can`t call back, he said we don`t have a direct number, if you can`t provide a number for me to call you it does not sound very legitimate he then says we will call you, I said no you won`t and hung up. If they call me again I will waist their time as much as possible, they never give up, scammers usually never do… something need be done.

Just got the call. Obviously is sketchy.. nothing is free and I never fill out coupons.
Number was from Buffalo, NY (716.332.6622 & 716.406.8687) for Suitelifevacations (http://www.suitelifevacations.com/) located in 690 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON. Apparently, I was a lucky winner among thousands of coupons and I could choose from couple vacation package options. I was asked to attend a gift ceremony “WITH my spouse”. All the company is expecting from us is “word of mouth” promotion.

I asked why he could just not mail my package and why do I have to go to a location “with my spouse”. Told him I decline the ‘prize’, LOL. He said “please don’t ever fill our coupons” and hung up. SCAMMER.

I had high hopes and I signed up with them in 2004. I paid about $15000 for the whole plan and since then I paid $200 a year for about 10 years and now over $100 a year. I feel like an idiot. Their offers are so limited and you cannot go where you want to go only what they have available. I have paid for the amount of about three vacations for the family if I had not paid them.
Any ideas how I can get of the contract? I tried to sell it online but no luck..

Well, since you brought it up already, I’ll take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful birthday and a relaxing Christmas! (I was going to wait until the proper date.)

My parents had apparently discussed that we would do the no-presents Christmas this year (because my sister and I are no kids anymore), but just guess if my Dad’s actually able to follow through something like that… nope. I only asked for one thing, though, (Halo 4) but then he kept digging for more wishes. Sigh. It’s so difficult to buy something for my parents because they (especially Dad) usually go and buy whatever they need/want, whenever they need/want it.

Just got a call from Suite Life Vacation, which he said that I filled out a ballot in Vaughan Mills. Which I did. He told me that, they pick my name and chance to win 5 prizes which are 60 inch plasma tv, 1000 cash, 1100 worth of furniture, an iPad 32 gb, and I forgot the other prize. Since reading all the comments that this is a scam, I don’t think I will be going to these free Mediterranean dinner. This is scary, I did filled out a ballot in Vaughan Mills, but for to win a FIAT CAR, and not for this scam vacation thing. I wonder how did they even get my info.

I got a call this morning from Suite Life Vacations. Apparently I filled out a ballot somewhere that they had no recollection of. I am not even 26 years old. They asked me to speak to someone who is over 26 years old, so I gave the phone to my mom. The guy has a thick Indian accent and his name was “Mike Harrison”, I found this funny. The number was from Buffalo, NY but he said he was calling from Suite Life Vacations in Woodbridge, ON. This is definitely a scam. The biggest mistake I made was that I got excited while my mom was speaking to this Mike character. They invited us to Woodbridge for the gifting ceremony on Sunday. They asked for an email, so my mom gave it to them. Wouldn’t we have an email on the apparent “ballot” that was filled out? They’ve emailed us 2 times in the past 30 minutes asking us to confirm our presence on Sunday.

I am looking forward to telling them off on Sunday when they call to remind us of the gifting ceremony. Thank you all for posting and creating awareness!

THe new name is suitelife vacations, they change the numbers and names often so that people will not catch up to the scheme, this is not any joke, these people a pros in the scam department they will make you believe it’s a deal of a life time, once you sign the contract and try to make use of your membership you will regretfully find out that you’ve been scammed, I have a membership and have never been able to use it, but I pay every year and I am stuck with it, I have spend thousands of dollars in lawyer fees in trying to get rid of this, you cannot cancel or transfer as they tell you you can, don’t be fooled. It is a travel club that has sold us 40 weeks of vacation over 5 years at selected destinations, at specified prices which is to be paid to them for either a studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom accommodation at the destinations. In addition to the purchase price of $3,495.00 we have been paying annually $99.00 concierge fee to use the service–that is booking the vacation through them. It appears that the $3,495.00 purchases only the right to go to those destinations but we must pay all transportation and hotel costs in addition each time that we book a trip and we must book through them. We have been unable to book any trips, all dates we chose are taken and destinations that they present during presentation don’t really exist, be aware, I now know we have been scammed.

we got a call you have won a 63? plasma t.v come and pick it up me and my wife went to the address and saw 200 more people are there they promised all to pick up their T.vs and started to move each family in a booth and got the signature with false information an put most of these hard working people under contract for 30 years 20 years 10 years and ours they told us you don’t have any contract later we realized in fine prints they put us for 5 years under contract and sending the bill for annual fees in U.S dollars . it is a long story but this is how these people make business and wondering the government doesn’t take any action. I have learned that you have to lie on the application form, or contest forms in order to qualify for everything.

Entered a draw at a home show for a car, a rep from the booth told us if we put down that we make $60,000/year (I am poor, I barely make $20,000) we would get a free stay at Niagara for 4 nights, and a dinner.

We went to the dinner the following week, it was the travel company, but before we saw the presentation, we had to fill out a profile, so obviously we lied on it, saying we go on vacation regularly, make $60,000 a year and so on.

We were brought into another room with other people as well, watch the presentation, and planed to leave right after with our prize. A rep came up to us right after and explained the package:
A membership that you pay $99 yearly and receive discounts to hotels, air travel, car rentals of 50%.
Unlimited amount of uses every year, and the best part it can be transferable to anyone we wish, be it friends, family, co-workers, whoever.
The only hiccup was that the total price of everything is $10,000 for a 50 year membership which can be transferable to anyone if we were to die.
The deposit of $2000, and monthly payments for 60 months

I went with my mother and she got them to lower down the deposit to $1200, $3500 total for the membership, monthly payments for 8 months with no interest, membership for 10 years, and in 5 years if we like it, we can pay for the additional 50 year membership at $6500

Sounds like a great deal and we took it, and got a vacation to Niagara Falls

Point of the story, some things are true, but you need to lie on applications to get accepted and reap the benefits and rewards (sounds horrible doesn’t it)

Anywho, who wants to go on vacation This is transferable to anyone lol

I got a call from someone claiming to be calling from Buffalo NY, that I’d filled out an “application” (ballot?) at Upper Canada Mall (I live in Newmarket) and that I’d won a draw for a vacation, airfare not included. When I asked the name of the company he said Suite Life Vacations. He could not name the store where I supposedly filled out the form, could not give me his address in Buffalo, and when I asked if this was a program approved by Mall management he said yes. I told him point blank it was a fraud.

Suitelife vacations,YES IT IS A timeshare, the trips or packages are bound to so many restrictions that is almost impossible to make use of it, certain dates and you pay for admin fees(almost the same price of the trip itself) the refreshments are not worth the drive and the 90 minutes presentations turns out to be more like 3 to 4 hours of hard core sales. Don’t waist your time.

Scam, scam, scam, I also was called from suitelife vacations and I went do the timeshare show and the trip they say you won is a big lie, almost impossible to use so many conditions and fees, you have to pay to activate the trip voucher and can only use it in certain dates they give you, also administrations fees, I chose Niagara falls and my fee came to $450,00 that’s the free trip for you, what a scam. After 3 hours of trying to convince me to buy into their scam i finally got out. caller was pleasant on the phone and with good English, no accent, made it seem like I won this free trip from a contest i entered , i don’t recall entering anything, she called me 4 times just to confirm my presence, making it sound very important and because they had ordered dinner, they never offered any dinner just coffee and water. Learned my lesson nothing is free, these people are good and very convincing, again if it sounds to good to be true it is, never again, lady said she was calling for suitelife.

Shawn, the TD Merchant Services Agreement has a $250 early termination fee (it applies if you terminate before your 3 yr contract ends). You quoted a $300 fee, so I suspect you are a Moneris plant. Say cheese!

I just got a call at 9 am Saturday morning from a thick accented Indian man asking for Mr. (my last name).

Me: “There is no Mr. (my last name), hasn’t been for 10 years… who is calling?”

Him: “I’m calling for Mr. or Mrs. xxx”.

Me: “What do you want?”

Him: “I’m calling from Suite Life and I’m sure you remember filling out a ballot…”

Me: “No, I did not.” click

Scammer scammer scammer. I did have to ask him to repeat the company name and he spelled it (which I thought he spelled L I S E). I googled it once I hung up.

Last time, about 3 or 4 years ago I got a call just after I moved saying I had filled out a ballot 6 months prior. Since I just got the phone number, I must be psychic!

Save your time and money!

Just received a call from “Jordan” from “Austin”, number on phone showed up as ‘Unknown’.. I am not new to these scams, so I played along. Caller was Indian and was reading the script as usual. I pretended to be deaf and asked him to repeat it…oh probably about 30 times..until he said “are ou playing with me?”…At that point I hung up.

thanks for the info on the Suite Life vacation scam. I just received one of these calls from Suite life vacations. I sat through all the bumph detail of what I had won. Got the second call from the manager told him I that I believed it was a scam. End result him swearing at me saying “go to hell” and hanging up the phone.

Had to laugh when I read the exact quote in someone else’s post “you don’t seem very excited for someone who has won?”.

Just had a call from them as well – claiming to be Suite Life Vacations. The guys was very persistant again and spoke in broken English (He actually sounded like he was speaking through a computer – almost Stephen Hawking). I would have hung up straight away but I wasn’t sure if we had filled out any forms – I know there is usually someone up at Bass pro in Vaughan and I thought my wife may have filled out something up there.

Anyway – I hung up after 5 mins after googling the name while still speaking with him.

Just got a call from Suite Life Vacations saying we won a trip. Said he was calling from Texas and that I had filled out a ballot a while ago. Confirmed the information on the ‘ballot’ and said I have a choice of 3 vacations to choose from, and that someone would call me back in 5 minutes with ‘secret’ passcode to redeem prize at some location.

Name was unknown but number on caller id was 28799924. Did not answer call back after reading this page. Not worth the effort for what is probably a scam.

I’ve gotten a year older recently and at the beginning of this year I also went back to school, and I’m now trying to wrap up my University studies. That means writing a master’s thesis, which isn’t going very well… No motivation, no inspiration, no time, but I must push on. I also have two courses and some silly bureaucratical stuff to do.

Other than that, nothing much. Playing Xbox all weekend-nights long (um, only after attempting to do something for the thesis of course).

I used Moneris for over two years. I recently terminated due to a merchant compliance requirement – Moneris began charging $20.00 per month because I did not complete their third party compliance even though I did – The process is flawed – After termination I was charged $250 to my bank account even though I have not sign a contract and was not told at time I terminated. After 2 weeks and 4 calls, Moneris representative returned my call. He was arrogant, self serving and was obviously twisting the truth. The story is still in progress but Moneris is deficient in customer service and general unethical practices.

I just had Moneris reps walk into my shop today! At first, the meeting went quite nicely. Very customer friendly reps. They gave me the following vis 1.59% m/c 1.64% interac 5cents equipment rental fee 34.00 , non qualifed fee .25% and inter change is same ,,,,all these rates were handwritten on a blank paper, so i actually didnt see the actual rates they promised. anyone heard of card brand fees by moneris. I phoned TD and they assured me they werent making money and to inquire if the rates go up after 6 months. The part I found wierd is that she didnt want to give me the piece of paper with the rates on it. I had to force her to give me the rates. I think I will be staying with TD but I didnt have a good feeling about it. Just sayin.

Just got a call, somewhat same story.
John Walker called, terrible connection, and a rattle of other telemarketers in the background.

The company name was Suite Life Vacations. The website at first glance looks legit, but I’m not buying this.

They said I won either a cruise or a 5 night stay at a 5 star resort. I just had to pick. They didn’t mention a dinner or a presentation, he said there was no seminar, but simply to show up somewhere and choose my prize.

He ended the conversation with telling me somebody would call in 5 minutes to give me the location of their office. Also, he said I would receive my prize coupon number in the mail.

The phone rang a few minutes later, but I didn’t answer. I’ve been scammed before with an Alarm system, and I don’t need to go through that again.

This guy wasn’t pushy or rude or anything… probably just trying to make a buck at work, but I’m not interested. Nothing is free.

Just wanted to let people know that Suite Life Vacations is the same this as this CVS/TVS/Canadian Value… etc.

This is a SCAM!!!!please be aware! I got the call this morning At 9:00am .Everything said above is true!!! The guy told me about the “coupon” i filled out in the summer! I have a strong feeling that 535 calories is an absurdly incorrect estimation of the dish. If you estimate by eye the amounts of calories of the ingredients when they prepare the dish in front of you, there is at least 2 cups of rice noodles to start with, which is around 600-700 all by itself. Depending on the cook, you get from 1 1/2 tbps to 3 tbps of oil, which is about 180-360. Plus the egg, if large 90 calories…I think we are quite far from the 535. The salt content is harder to estimate but by taste, I’d reckon at least a 30% percent of the daily value. And depending on the cook and the amount of spicy sauce added (by me)…let’s just say the I’d better drink a whole lot of water. Guess we can figure out why it’s so delicious, haha.

I was just talking to a Moneris representative on the phone today. I asked about interchange + pricing. And he must have thought I had heard to ask for interchange pricing but that I didn’t know much details about it. He tried to convince me that interchange pricing includes 1.65% base fee + 0.25% for rewards type cards + the interchange fee on top of that. When I asked him how much the interchange fees are he said they are usually between 0.3% and 0.7%. However on the Visa and Mastercard interchange fee schedule on their website it lists ecommerce fees around 1.55%.

After I brought it up a 2nd and 3rd time he attempted to play it off that other vendors also offer it and to ask them about it. Even tho I told him I’ve spoken to multiple merchant services and no one has ever mentioned this ‘base rate’. He answered the phone as Ravi. At the end when I asked him for his extension # and name he had changed it to ‘Ali’ after I asked to confirm it was Ravi. And also I asked him to send me a quote by email which was also not sent (no surprise).

If this type of behavior is being done by their sales people, it is no doubt structured that way from the top. These are unethical business people and everyone should be very wary and careful when dealing with these guys. And by being careful I mean look elsewhere for a merchant!

This sounds all too much like the people I was dealing. I did go to the presentation and left early. I left with a voucher for 4 nights in Orlando, Florida and 3 nights at the beach ( Daytona or Ft. Lauderdale). A $25.00 processing fee was required for the voucher.

I do not have Commentluv on my own blog, but when I post a reply to someone else’s blog where it is installed I suddenly cant’ get it to go. I will get a message saying:

Thanks, Janice, I guess. Except I don’t know if I want 15 years if I’ll feel like shit with pukiness, headaches, strange vision. Plus I’ve been to that doctor’s appointment that was after this post, and he showed me that the cancer was all over my temporal lobe, not just that area they were showing me. So of course I think, ‘what was the point of all this?’

Don’t want to seem negative, cuz usually I don’t seem like that to people. But I’d like to actually feel good

Just got the call today and told them that i would be coming to pick up the lap top and nothing else, no show no speech and no other prize, they were shocked. Then i emailed the ministry of consumer services. Please file a complaint it is not fair that innocent people get roped in to these crimes. I once was promised an i pod if i went to a presentation, i went only for the i pod and it was a piece of junk that did not work. So there you go never again.

Well I’m glad you’re not dead!

Radiation therapy generally doesn’t cause baldness unless it’s specifically aimed at your head – the chemotherapy does.

Very basically most chemotherapy drugs aim to kill fast dividing cells, which most cancer cells do. However chemotherapy gets pumped all around your body so it doesn’t just target the cancer cells, it targets other fast dividing cells such as in your stomach lining (hence extreme nausea) and hair on your head which causes hair loss (your hair cells divide quickly, it why hair grows). Other hairs like eyebrow and pubic aren’t affected as badly because that hair grows much more slowly than head hair (it takes a long time to grow back eyebrows for example )
