This was a cute movie, fairly well done for a kid chick flick.
Our hero, Olive (Emma Stone) pretends to be having sex with guys in her high school. They’re paying her to do so with Home Depot gift cards, coupons, whatever they can find. The boys want to do this to make themselves seem more popular and less geeky.
Unfortunately, she gets quite a bad reputation at school and ends up shooting a video to talk about what she’s done. Everybody watches the video because they think it’ll be a sex video.
It was fraught with the usual teen dilemmas about friendship, but it was amusing and believably acted. I guess her personality kinda reminded me of my daughter’s – a little sarcastic, witty and bright.
It was a good time waster for me. Certainly much better than The American.
