The New Couch
I ordered a new couch this week. I decided to get rid of the sofa bed – I never liked it anyway, hated the colour, I only bought it to have an extra bed. But since I’ve got a self-inflating mattress, I figured that was good enough if someone wanted to sleep over
So I’m giving the sofa bed to my son, along with the end tables… I also bought some new end tables. And I ordered the new couch from The Brick. I’ll post a picture later.
The delivery is scheduled for today, which is great. Delivery on a Sunday is a good thing (although I think I’m paying $80 for it). They told me that the delivery people would call today to give me a better idea of the delivery time.
And they did call. They called at 7:00 a.m. to tell me the couch would be delivered between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.
While I appreciate the fact that they gave us a more specific time than 8:00-4:00, I do have to wonder why they needed to call at 7:00 on a Sunday morning. It’s damned lucky I never get to sleep in, cuz I would have been really pissed if someone was waking me at 7:00 on a sleep-in day. Even 9:00 a.m. would have been more respectable to say it’s not coming til 1:00.
I’m sure those people who are working at that time have a smile on their faces as they start calling at that hour on a Sunday.
