Kick Ass

I bought this movie just because it said something like ‘best comedy, action since Kill Bill’. Or it was something similar to that, and since I love Kill Bill and most Quentin Tarantino movies, I figured I’d buy it – and not in Blu-Ray cuz I also wanted to be able to put it on my computer, and to use my Blu-Ray player on my computer means I have to unplug one of the monitors, so it’s just a big pain in the ass.

Anyway, the movie… I liked it. It’s about a young geeky guy who decides that he’s going to be a superhero. And at first, with the pace, you think that it’s gonna be some kind of family film, it runs that way. But as he realizes what he’s gotten into and finds that there are other superheroes around, the pace picks up and the movie becomes not only interesting, but a little campy as well. Even my snookey liked the movie and he doesn’t like Nicolas Cage.

I’d rent it if I were you. I’m glad we bought it because we’ll end up watching it again.

I saw an ad for this and I’ve been meaning to rent it. Good to know it’s worth watching! (Not enthusiastic about Nicolas Cage either but it often depends on the character whether he’s tolerable or not.)

I went to see Inception earlier this week. Loved it! However, there was a guy in the theatre who started sighing very loudly about half an hour before the end, and the movie did kinda feel like “dragging on” (but the action was still going strong then so it couldn’t have ended any earlier…)

I liked it as well. Although I know what you mean about the campiness. It wasn’t as bad as the old Batman & Robin television show. But it was noticeable.

I’m looking forward to the sequel, if they do one. Just have to avoid my friend, ruined the ending of the movie for me; because he told me about the major spoiler with the Red Mist or whatever the kid from Superbad was calling himself.

I saw Inception too, Minna. I thought it was pretty good. A little long and hard to follow sometimes, but overall I’d give it a thumbs up.

Lyndon, I’m pretty sure with that ending, there’s bound to be a sequel.
