Sherlock Holmes

I thought during the movie awards that this movie had actually been nominated for something. I may be wrong, but I thought I heard them mention it for something.

In my humble opinion, if this was nominated for anything it should have been for one of the lamest movies of the decade – perhaps century. I supposed I should have known better since Robert Downey Jr. was in it, but there wasn’t much to choose from, so we chose this.

The only good thing about the movie was when there was going to be a fight scene and Sherlock Holmes would picture the scene in slow motion, explaining how he was going to beat up the other guy, then it would be in regular motion and he’d take the guy down. Is that not pathetic? That was the only good stuff in the movie. Is that why it seemed so long? Cuz it was crap?

Don’t rent it, you’ll be kicking yourself in the ass if you do. That’s no small feat… kicking yourself in the ass.

Sherlock Holmes with Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr.

Crap!! I better get if off my Zip list pronto. Thanks for the warning…

“…one of the lamest movies of the decade… ”

Even worse than Tropic Thunder, which also had Robert Downey Jr. in it? Regrettably, I saw the first half hour of Tropic Thunder with Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Downey in it, and that was TRULY the lamest movie of the decade.

I’m taking Sherlock Holmes off my list!

Blogeois, you’re right – we almost turned off Tropic Thunder but kept it going in the hopes that it would get funny.

When I think back to it, I’m not sure if these movies are tied for bad. Although I was with my family last night at Easter and didn’t my one cousin talk about how much she liked Sherlock Holmes *wah?*
