Merry Christmas!

Santa Claus

Hmmm, I've been watching you

I felt like I was being watched *uh oh*.

Have a great Christmas, everyone. I got up at 6:00 this morning so that I could sit all by myself for a few hours and play games on the computer (isn’t that what Christmas is all about?)

I’ve already finished a pot of tea and it’s only 8:40. I should wake up my snookey soon so he can run to Tim’s and get us our day’s supply of coffee (and perhaps a breakfast sammich). He’ll appreciate getting up nice and early on Christmas morn.

I hope that you all get whatever it is you wanted for Christmas, or at least something that makes you happy. I’m hoping for anything since I don’t usually get too much except from my snookey. Maybe one of these decades my kids will finally buy me a nice present – or any present even.

As usual, my Christmas poem is below. Click on MORE if you feel like reading it again this year.

T’was the day before Christmas, and all through the house
Empty beer bottles clattered, from Jafer – the souse

She sat drinking good cheer, toasting holiday season
Not like other times drinking, when she didn’t have reason

When all of a sudden she heard a big clatter
and staggered out of her chair to see what was the matter

She walked into the wall on her way to observe
what the fuss was about, someone sure had their nerve!

When right down the chimney, a big crash as he landed
was Rudolph the reindeer, dejected and stranded

He said, “I’m afraid that I’m lost, and I can’t find St. Nick
I don’t know this neighbourhood but I have to learn quick

’cause this is just dress rehearsal, what will I do tonight
if I can’t find my way even when outside’s light?”

“I have to guide Santa – my bright nose gave direction
but this flu screwed me up in my direction selection”

So, Jafer, to alleviate Rudolph’s deep fear
handed Rudolph a glass and served beer after beer

When time came for departure, Rudolph left in a hurry
Self-assured, calm and confident, not left with a worry

He left with a flaming, and veined, bright red nose
He’d guide all the reindeer – thanks to Jafer, I suppose

And isn’t that just what Christmas season’s about?
Loving and helping your fellow reindeer out

And though she couldn’t remember anything the next day
Down her chimney a present had found its own way

There sat 5 – 24’s, Jafer’d surely get tight
And yell “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good [hiccup]“

You beat me to the punch this morning :)

Merry Christmas Jafer!!!

Oooo, Tim’s! May you and snookey have a very Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I got something to play, something to eat, and something to wrap myself in when it gets too cold. Very nice. (We Finns can’t wait till Christmas day, we get our presents on Christmas Eve.)
