Switching to Sympatico

I’m just waiting for the Bell guy to show up. They called me, offering Bell Sympatico for my internet and told me just how much faster it ws than Rogers, so I said, “go for it”.

I told them that I’ve had people in here at least 3 times before and no one could get it hooked up and working, but they seem to think that the 80th time is the charm.

So I’m waiting for them. I’ve cancelled my Rogers, but not til the end of the month, so if these guys don’t get it working, I’ve got Plan B – keep Rogers internet. However, even though I’m on Rogers Extreme, I don’t find it too effing fast… that’s why I was willing to switch.

Since Bell provides their own wireless router with the package, we’ll see how things work – should be a piece of cake for them, I’d imagine. But I already own my own router. I own the Rogers Extreme modem. That sounds like a waste of my money now, doesn’t it?

Well, I’m waiting. I changed the appointment from between 5:00 til 9:00 until 6:00 til 9:00 cuz I had to come home and go for my walk.

Just last night my snookey and I started walking. So we’re going for an hour walk around the neighbourhood. He couldn’t go tonight cuz he hurt his back doing laundry (ya, right), but I went anyway since we just started last night and tomorrow night I’ve got some steering committee dinner to go to, so there’ll be no walkkies.

My face is almost purple and it’s an hour since I finished my walk. Let me tell ya, at first, the walking feels like nothing. It’s only when I start heading back that I notice that I’ve started to sweat. Sweat like a pig. And who knows when my face starts getting so red. These people on the street probably think I’m about to keel over; ‘oh, look at that fat old broad, she’ll be gone soon’.

Anyway. Time to rest up after my shower. Oh, yes, you need a shower after that. Who knew walking could be so strenuous? I guess I should expect that. I used to work out every day on my lunch hour and it’s been at least 5 years since I did that. I’m lucky I don’t weigh 200 pounds by now, lazy sot.

I used to walk at lunch but with my boot….

I walk at lunch time, sometimes I just want to keep going and not go back to work, like most days its fine out.

I don’t seem to get any thinner from it just a bit less “puffing” when I have to do physical stuff, so thats good right?

You must try the so-called Nordic walking: with ski poles! Finns are crazy about it (I just do the plain ol’ walk, thank you). At least people wouldn’t notice the red/purple then…?
I wish I had a walking-buddy.
