Hello New Dad

I’m off to Tim’s at 6:00 to meet up with my new dad. I don’t know why he wanted to see me since he said he’d call me once a year on my birthday. It’s not my birthday – he took me out for dinner then.

So I wonder if he’s got news for me. Is he dying of cancer? Did his wife die and so he’s free to have a relationship with his long-lost daughter? Or is it just the fact that he knew he was going to be in Toronto today. Weird. I guess I’ll find out why, soon.

I’m just killing time now til it’s time to leave. I’m playing some Bejeweled Twist. Just got a crappy score of 254,000. The good thing though, is that I got rid of all the old scores, so I still get my name up with that one.

Yesterday I had to uninstall and reinstall my Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate. All of a sudden it just wouldn’t open. I’d try to open it and it would just freeze. So the answer to that was a reinstall. It’s working now but some of my plugins aren’t. It’s always something.

Once I’ve finished meeting with my new dad tonight, I’m officially on holiday. Tomorrow’s Canada Day and I’ve taken off the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. So there’s six whole days off. It is to laugh.

I intend to sleep in. Like that ever happens. Look at these big black bags under my eyes. Does that look like a woman who gets a lot of sleep? No, it does not.

Hopefully I’ll get some of that in, even if I have to stay up til 3:00 a.m. in order to do it. Of course that will include copious amounts of beer – I stocked up tonight. Wouldn’t want to find myself with no beer when the beer stores are closed.

So that’s my exciting life at the moment. New dad… what’s new? I’ll update you if it’s anything exciting – and probably even if it isn’t.
