Yes, boys and girls, I did it. I upgraded to WordPress 2.7 tonight – just a minute ago as a matter of fact.
It was easy, I had no problems (that I’ve noticed so far) and it’s quite a different experience than what you’re used to if you’ve used WP for a long time, as I have.
I can even blog straight from my dashboard page, without having to go to a Write submenu (as I’m doing now).
I’d say go for it based on my no problems (again, so far). Right now I’m just going to browse around and try to familiarize myself with the changed features (oh, I even see a Tweet category over there).
Work, work, work, it’s all I ever do.

Do you find your site loading faster? I’m not sure, but think they bumped the speed up. My site seems a bit quicker since I installed the upgrade.

Great news – I’ll be upgrading myself and my friend michelle when I get up for the day. For now I’m heading back to bed after giving the baby a bottle to shut her up. Hopefully she’ll fall back to sleep soon without waking anyone else up!
@Lyndon, I’m not sure about faster (although the docs say that they’ve made things faster, not sure if that’s on the back end). I find my site intermittent anyway, sometimes it seems to load in 5 seconds, sometimes 9 – at least from here.
