I don’t particularly like Will Ferrell, I never found him particularly funny, thought he was pretty lame actually, and really hated him when he used to do that cheerleader thing on Saturday Night Live (back in the day when I’d still turn that on now and then on a Saturday night but that’s not worth my effort these days).
So why do I keep renting movies with him in them? Mostly because my daughter will pick them because they’re supposed to be funny.
Semi Pro actually was funny. Ok, not the entire movie, but it had its parts where I was actually smiling. I won’t describe the story line because there’s no point in that with a Will Ferrell movie, you only rent it because you’re looking for some laughs and this one delivers that.
I’d actually recommend it for some mild amusement.
