I don’t even get why people do the sp@mming. Today I found 3 sp@ms in my moderation and blasted them, then deleted them.
Why do they do this? Nobody’s ever gonna see them. Are they so fucking stupid that they just keep trying and trying thinking that one day they’ll get their shit up here?
And if nobody’s gonna read them, WTF good is all their effort to put them up? And they’re always attached to posts that are a year or two old. Like that wouldn’t look too funny that all of a sudden there’s a comment on something I wrote two years ago? My writing is fairly prolific. I can see why people would be poring through every post.
It’s just ridiculous. And stupid, really stupid.

LOL – I was just showing my mom today that AKISMET has caught 174 THOUSAND spam comments on my blog. I don’t get it either, are there really that many people looking for enhancement assistance?
Yeah, there goal is to have their web site as mentioned as often as possible in posts which means for that, at least that’s what they think, higher rankings on search engines.
And keep in mind, those spambots are very cheap.

Generally when you get spam on old posts, it’s probably because the spammer is using an automatic script that looks for key words and spams old posts.
It’s the people who spam new posts with ridiculous comments, just to gain rankings on sites like Technorati, that really bug me.
Usually I’ll just ban their IP address and I don’t have to see them again
