Superbad
An amusing little flick, this. And when I say amusing, I don’t mean for a 10-year-old. It’s fraught with sexual overtones, and not just overtones, those are quite the gestures and the mouths on those young guys.
I found the movie amusing; it’s about a bunch of losers – three of them but more focus was on two than on the three. They’re soon going to graduate from high school and get into college, but the main part of the movie is them trying to seem cool, and finding a way to buy liquor for a girl’s party.
Oh the antics. Really that seemed like the whole story other than the fact that the two closest friends are going to be going to different colleges and are probably a little worried about that separation.
I didn’t do as much rolling on the floor and laughing out loud as my 14-year-old daughter did, but it had its moments. I guess my favourite moments involve the two cops who seem to act like they’re 14 years old.
Go ahead and rent it if you want inanity.
