Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix

We saw this last night because it just recently came out and, of course, my daughter just couldn’t wait until a Saturday night for this movie, after all, she’s read all the books and we own the other flicks.

I’ll have to say that this was probably the best Harry Potter movie (for me). You know I’m not big on all that mystical/fantasy stuff, but I could actually get my head into this one. We did have to sit through a running commentary by my daughter since they missed lots of things from the book, and she needed to inform us of who each character was and their powers.

They had some stars I recognized and spent half my time thinking, “who IS that?”. Needless to say that once I saw the cast, I could say, ‘yes, that’s right, that’s who that was’.

I’d even watch it again, and I’ll probably have to because my daughter will want it for our set.

Did I mention that Harry himself looks like he’s about 35 now. I know he probably isn’t but he’s certainly seeming old(er). I’d probably date him if I was single, that’s how old he looks. Was he wearing dentures? Depends?

Go ahead and rent if you’d like a little escape from reality. Sometimes I really like those British actors. Rather.
