We rented this movie on Friday night. It was fairly slow moving at first, but picked up.
It’s all about this ex-marine guy (Mark Wahlberg) who left the marines after a bad mission where his partner got killed. He gets sucked in to returning to service and gets double-crossed. Danny Glover actually plays a bad guy in this film.
In his quest for revenge, our hero gets shot a couple of times but still manages to get the bad guys after enlisting help from his dead partner’s wife to fix him up and offer refuge. Of course, later on she’ll be taken hostage and he’ll have to save her.
It reminded me of Rambo, the storyline, the high-up bad guys, the ‘single man takes down the army’ type of flick.
The movie was very long, over 2 hours, and, for my money, if a movie’s gonna be that long, there should be more action.
