Anti-Aging Computers
As I was sitting around here yesterday doing who knows what, I was going through some of the pictures we took at my daughter’s graduation (not too damned many, let me tell ya).
I had taken a picture of my snookey (he turned 60 in March and it was a little traumatic for him). The picture wasn’t too shit hot, but I was playing with it, mostly thinking that I had to adjust the lighting because it was too dark.
What I ended up doing instead was editing my snookey. I’ve got before and after pictures below. On the left is how he looks now. And on the right is how I imagine he looked when he was about 30 (I dunno for sure since I didn’t know him then).
Now the second picture, even though it’s retouched, seems more to me like the way I see him. I don’t usually notice the wrinkles, the spots, the lines, I usually notice his eyes, his mouth, his smile, his attitude.
It seems like such a difference to me that I think I’ve got to go through any of the pictures there are of myself and make myself look 20 years younger. That way, when I’m dead and barely remembered, people can look back through the photos and say, “wow, she looked really good for her age”. Especially since nobody seems to think I’m younger than my age any more.

LOL…great work on the retouching!
Did you try to fix the white balance? Looks a bit shaded.
