The Departed

You want stars? I’ll give you stars. Look at how many of them happened to all choose this film to act in: Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen (I had a severe crush on him when I was young), and Alec Baldwin.

It’s a movie about cops, the Irish mafia, corrupt cops, undercover cops, undercover corrupt cops, and I’m sure you get the idea.

The movie itself was pretty darned predictable but I liked it anyway. And that Leonardo DiCaprio boy? Why he’s turned into a man. Holy fuck, I just looked him up in the imdb and that ‘kid’ is 33 years old. He’s no kid any more, he’s almost my age. *ahem*

I enjoyed the movie, predictable or not, so you might as well rent it. There’s a lot worse out there.

I saw the orginal Hong Kong version of this film called Internal Affairs and it was pretty good. I’ll probably end up seeing this version as well, just to see what they changed for the North American audiences.

Lyndon, I saw Internal Affairs too. I didn’t realize that this movie was based on that one. Thanks for the info.

BFG waz here. BFG’s brain is out right now leave a message after the beep………BEEP

Oops made a mistake on the name of the movie. I should have typed Infernal Affairs, not Internal. Internal Affairs is a completely different movie, starring Richard Gere.
