Babel
I didn’t realize that I hadn’t written for two days. WTF was I so preoccupied with? I honestly don’t know. I did go to bed at 9:00 last night, though. 9:00. Can you believe that? Once again just sitting in front of the TV doing the one-eyed jack and so I decided I’d just go to bed. My honey couldn’t believe it. Neither could I. But it did get me about 9 hours of sleep, so that’s a good thing.
On Saturday night we rented Babel and we enjoyed it. I saw on the Oscar’s that it won an award for the music, but frankly I thought it was better than The Departed (which I liked) so I don’t know why that one won an Oscar but this one didn’t.
It’s one of those movies with the stories of a bunch of people shown in little parts of their lives at a time – you know that kind, you’ve seen it before. Sometimes you forget all about the 2nd person in the story until they come back to them.
I’d say rent it, it even kept the teenagers interested, so it must be pretty good. Well, maybe I shouldn’t say that since apparently watching all of the American Pie movies over the weekend kept teenagers interested.
