If You’re Born Today…

The phone rang around 7:00 this morning. My first thought was, “who the fuck is that, calling at 7:00? What if I was sleeping in?” But I wasn’t. And it was my daughter to sing me happy birthday, so that’s a nice thing.

And what about those of us born today? Especially those of us who have just turned 50!!!!! 50. OMG. 50′s the new 30! No, really. It is. Except for looks, I guess. My horoscope says this about me:

Yes, boys and girls, my honey got me just what I wanted. I am so damned happy.

So far I’ve just been reading the manual. There’s a lot of learning to be done here.

I wonder how he knew what I wanted? He knows me like a book.

I am gonna be a camera fool now. La, la, la, I’ve got the Lumix. Leica lens, did I mention that?

Now the only thing more for my birthday is the birthday boink. Not til tonight though. At lunch time my aunt and mother are taking me out. Free food too!

What a fabulous birthday. Y’see, 50′s not so bad. I guess I’d better update my sidebar.
