Bell Canada Shitty Service

I hate fucking big business. It’s unbelievable the service you get.

Ever since I switched my phone back to Bell, I’ll have this beeping as if I have a message, but when I check the messages there are none – well, sometimes there are, but even when I erase them, it will still beep as if I have a message.

This happened when I first switched back and then they “fixed” it and all of a sudden we had 8 jillion voicemails back from 1998 (for which we had to call again to have them removed).

I called a week or two ago because the voicemail beeping thing was going again with no messages. I was told that the problem would be fixed within two days. Two days later I had a voicemail from technical support telling me how to access all three mailboxes to check the messages (we have 3 phone lines here). I already knew how to access the mailboxes to check for messages – that’s how I knew there were no messages and yet it kept beeping.

So I called again, told them I didn’t need a lesson in how to use it, and reported the same problem. I was told that the problem would be fixed within two days.

Today I got home and there was a message from Bell Canada technical support. It was a step-by-step fucking tutorial on how to access all my voicemail boxes. I can’t fucking believe these people.

Again I called back, this time slightly livid. I went through all the hoops with the ‘screener girl’ and told the woman to stop calling me Jafer. She once again asked who she was speaking to and I once again told her my name, but I told her she could call me Mrs. Ferguson, not Jafer. I was then put through to technical support. As I explained the problem to technical support, didn’t she connect to my fucking voicemail box so she could walk me through how to check the messages.

I told her to turn it off, I didn’t want to check my voicemail… that I might even have some voicemail there right now because I hadn’t checked all the mailboxes (I called them as soon as I heard that stupid tutorial again). She told me we had to check all the voicemail boxes. I told her to turn it off (picture my PURPLE face as I got madder and madder). She turned it off alright. She hung up on me.

I called back and got another screener girl who asked all the same questions. I told her I had just gone through this and that I just wanted to be put through to Andrea in technical support. Oh no, I had to answer all the same stuff over again, and then was told that technical support closes at 5:00. I had just talked to them 5 minutes before (at 6:05) but now they weren’t available.

I went through the song and dance with this girl and then she told me that, “since I have the wire care plan, I could go ahead and buy a new phone”. I told her I didn’t need a new phone. She said, “there will be no charge to you, you’re covered under the wire care plan, a very good choice, Jafer” (I didn’t bother with the first name shit again with her). I told her I didn’t need a new phone, that it is the voicemail service that isn’t working properly, I wanted someone to fix it.

Finally she said she’d put in a ticket for technical support and it should be fixed within two days. I told her to put a note on the file. “Tell them I know how to access the voicemail boxes – all 3 of them. I do not need another message giving me lessons in how to use it. That is not the problem. I want the message indicator fixed because even when there are no messages, it indicates that there are”.

Is that too hard to understand? Can these people not go ahead and try to see what the problem is instead of leaving me tutorials? Can they not talk to me and when I say, “I know how to access the voicemail boxes”, NOT try to walk me through how to use them?

I have no patience left now. I need a drink. I don’t feel that beer is strong enough. Maybe I’ll put some music on, you know, soothe that savage breast. With a beer. Or 16. Fuckheads.

Gawd I hate Bell Canada customer service reps!! Hate them with a passion, they always act like it’s your fault. Even though it’s usually a problem caused by them. Then they start reading off those stupid checklists, even if it has nothing to do with your problem. But my favorite part, have you checked the cables. No I’m as brain dead as you are and could have never thought to check that! Finally when they do fix it, they’ll never even admit that they were wrong.

From my experience Bell home phone is the best from the worst, but they charges monthly network charge of $5.95 even for a basic long distance plan, even if I don’t use long distance. Now I disconnected Bell long distance and use calling cards (I’m getting CiCi from http://www.ontariophonecards.ca/cici ). Not so convenient, but I save $5.95/month and pay only 2.5c/min if I need to call long distance. :???:

there is a company that saved Bell’s butt.. and they don’t have call centres in India like Bell.. they have optimal customer service.. and don’t charge this network fee that I saw on my bill.. before switching to this other company.. it freaked me out.. and the company I am with now.. when they lower the prices.. they automatically lower them for everyone.. so you don’t have to experience.. the shock after 2 yrs of paying regular price, when you find out that Bell has lowered the price for new customers.. infuriating..!%^#&@*^* u guys make the choice.. to be scammed or not to be scammed that is the question.. u know the answer.. if you want the information about my telecom company email me. sharp_biz@hotmail.com

I hate bell too. in late august Our cable phone provider left our area and we were stuck no phone and no highspeed. I called around to a few providers and no one had the highspeed yet!!!!!!! I got a little nervous and said crap we have to go with bell again :( so we call bell and the lady who was snotty as hell says here is what i can offer you. High speed lite with unlimited net use and home phone
and unlimited long distance all for $90 a month. we were stuck so we took the deal. one week after bell was up and running the phone had a loud humming sound and static. and that made the net very slow and nobody could hear us. we call bell and what do you know we get someone you cant understand. He says we will report it for us. 3 weeks go by and nothing and I was getting very mad. then I call on monday night and the guy says I can send someone out on tuesday. I said can you make it wednesday? he says yes sir and i went out tuesday all day to come home to find a note on the door from bell. your phone line is fixed sorry we missed you. I call bell up and they said I should have been there. I said you were comming on wed not today. they guy says ummmm bla bla bla and said it wasent there problem. which made my blood boil at this point. I then say can I speak to someone in north america please? he says I dont know where that is. I yelled CANADA? he said we dont have people in canada. I hung up and called again. then I get someone in canada which was very tricky. The girl says why havent you paid your bill? i said because you havent sent me a bill. I said we talked to bell 3 weeks ago and it was sent to the wrong address. she said it wasent their problem. I hung up. then 10 mins later I get a call from bells collection department asking when we are going to pay? I said tell me how much is $145.00 + $90?
the guy says $235. I said right and why is our bill $272? and he says that we over used our internet. i said its unlimited and he says its not. he said the lady was wrong. he said are you happy with bell sir? I laughed and said No we are going to get a new long distance provider and highspeed provider in which has unlimited for both, as ssoon as they (other company) has the local phone service in this area our bell phone will be gone. I’m so sick of not being able to understand them. with the other company they have some people who are french but hey I can understand their english. what a time

IS IT CALLED BELL CANADA OR BELL FUCKING INDIA? THIS IS WHY THERE ARE NO JOBS…I’M CANCELING TODAY….COGECO HERE I COME BABY…ENJOY MY MONEY.. :x

Absolutely worst service u can imagaine from a tele comm company. The worst part of all this, bell website is never accessible, always it is unavailable, what’s the point of having a website, where customer cannot use any online services, no wonder bell is going out of buisness.
