The Finale
On Friday I had my meeting with the big boss. Not only did we go through upcoming things to work on, but I also went through, in detail, the things that have been going on with my co-worker.
I explained that I don’t feel it’s appropriate for this guy to be yelling at me, or to be walking off when I’m in the middle of talking to him, and that now that he’s taken on these additional responsibilities, he seems to think that he’ll bully everybody into doing whatever the hell he tells you to do.
His meeting with her came after mine, so I hope that she got to address some of the issues I’d raised. I also discussed the duplication of efforts and mentioned that we need a little clearer definition of our roles (especially in light of the fact that she’ll ask me to do something and ask him to do the same thing – I think she forgets who she’s talked about what with) <- I know, improper English, put it sounds too formal to say it properly.
I’m hoping things will be a little better at work, and hopefully, since they will both be gone the week after next, I may be able to get a lot accomplished.
With that said, I’m still looking for another job. I think the company’s got enough money in the bank for another payroll (maybe 2 if no bills get paid) and then that’s it unless they score some funding.
Regardless of money, I think I need to find something more suitable. I don’t feel the same comfort level that I did before and I’d like to leave. If nothing else, at least I qualify for unemployment now if there’s no job to be paid for. You can bet that I’m not volunteering.
