This was the modern version of To Sir With Love – only with dancing… ballroom dancing.
Antonio comes to volunteer his services to the misfits. We don’t know why he’s doing this but he is, and he’s going to take all those kids who are scheduled for infinite detention and get them to learn ballroom dancing.
There’s the usual ‘poor me’ attitudes from some of the kids, you know, the ‘I’ll never amount to anything, the world owes me, what can I do but join a gang’ mentality and, of course, the pride in themselves after learning to relate to the teacher.
It wasn’t a bad movie. If you liked To Sir With Love, you’d probably like this one too.
