Camarama

I was downtown today (as I am every day that I’m at work) and I hadn’t taken my camera. Mostly because I didn’t get my clothes ready for work last night, so I had no idea what I was gonna wear. That took up my time.

When my time is taken up in the morning, I forget all kinds of things. And you know the worst thing to forget? Other than forgetting to take your lunch when you have no money? No, it’s not your gum. Well, yes, car keys would be bad, but then you would only get as far as the driveway and then have to go back in to get your keys. Ok, ok, work keys would be very bad too, I agree.

Ok, so maybe it’s not the worst thing to forget, but it’s a bad thing to forget your camera. You know why it’s so bad? Because on the days that you forget your camera, those are the days that all of a sudden the sky is filled with really fabulous looking clouds that weren’t there yesterday when you had your camera. And the lighting is totally different and fabulous and, you, of course, cannot take any pictures of it.

I cannot tell you how many beautiful scenes there were today. And as I went to Tim’s at lunch, wasn’t there some old guy in the middle of the road, taking a picture of one of those beautiful scenes; making me envious; making me feel like a big dolt because he had remembered his camera.

Since I have baseball tomorrow, I know what I’m wearing. That means I’ll have lots of time in the morning to run into the computer room (where my camera is charging) and take the camera – as long as I remember. Perhaps the memory thing is another little issue.

I’ve always equated my mind with a computer. You know, with the memory thing. I just don’t have enough RAM. Or maybe it’s like data… get rid of the old, unneeded data to free up room on the hard drive for other more important data, cuz my hard drive of a brain doesn’t have too much room left in it. Well, it is an older model ya know.

Ok, now I’m just liking the sound of my own voice. Is there anything on television on a Wednesday night?

I, jafer, do I know what you mean…! That happens to me every single time I forget the camera. Drives me right bats, so I’m kind of glad I’m not the only one…

This is true.

I did think about wearing my camera on my belt, you know, like a mobile phone.

For about all of five seconds! How geeky would that look?

On the other hand, you would probably have an excellent photo collection.
