Operations Manager
Guess who you’re looking at? What do you mean, you’re not looking? Pay attention. Who are you looking at now? You’re looking at the new Operations Manager of a thriving non-profit. Ok, maybe non-profits are not thriving, but at an existing non-profit.
My probationary term is over (was actually over two months ago but we finally got around to the discussion of pay increases and job titles) and as of today, everything’s finalized. I’ll even get some retro pay back to May, so maybe I’ll be able to clear up my overdraft (or even pay my bills for a month).
So I was feeling very happy and satisfied with my job today. And I’m off work tomorrow because my daughter has a talent show and then there’s baseball in the evening.
I was in one of those moods where everything is beautiful (in it’s own way, la la la la heaven, and a snow covered winter’s day). I smiled at people and they smiled at me. I yelled out my car window to some old woman that she looked beautiful. She looked at me strangely, said thank you, and just thought I was some nutbar.
However, things are very happy for me at this very moment, and I’m happy to be happy. Everybody… sing along. Everything is byoootiful…
