Jarhead

So we watched Jarhead last night and I liked it. It was a little different than the usual war movies in that it seemed to be a more personal perspective and, at times, I actually felt a part of it.

Jake Gylenhall was in it and the guy who did the Ray Charles movie, and there were a few more familiar faces but not anyone whose name I knew.

I found it enjoyable and some of the scenes that they shot, even though they were war scenes, were very breathtaking – the kind of thing that you see and think, I wish I had my camera.

There were a few slow parts to it, but at least they didn’t drag out forever. I’d say go ahead and rent it.

I’ve been meaning to rent this one–I’ll have to put it in my Netflix queue.

You’re one of the first people I heard that enjoyed it. For some reason it got a lot of bad reviews. But it always looked kind of interesting to me.

Guess I’ll have to add it to the long list of movies I still have yet to see.

Oh, the guy from Ray is Jamie Foxx. But you probably remembered by now :-)
