Cajun Waffles

I was hungry and I couldn’t decide what to eat. I just knew that I wanted something but couldn’t find anything that I felt I had a craving for… until I looked in the freezer and saw the waffle box.

Luckily for me there were two waffles left. I decided to have them for dinner.

And luckily for me they were those new cajun-style waffles because those are just yummy.

burnt waffles (I mean, cajun wafflesDon’t these look like blackened waffles? Yes they do. Yes they are.

Ok, there’s something wrong with the toaster if you set it past 4. The 4 will give you a lightly toasted something. The 5 will give you cajun food.

You know what? I ate them anyway.

So out of curiosity, what did they taste like? Or did you drown them in maple syrup to get rid of the burnt taste.

Lyndon, first I tried to scrape off the burnt stuff, but it was like glue on there only hard as a rock.

I did drown it in maple syrup so I didn’t taste much of the burnt stuff. But because they got so hard, I did have to pick it up in my hand to eat the burnt part because the knife just wouldn’t cut through it. Mmm mmm mm.
