I don’t know if you like Kate Bush or not, but I think I mentioned that I bought her latest CD a while ago. I was just listening to A Coral Room and thinking, fuck, what a depressing song. What has she done for me lately? This could certainly make me feel suicidal if I were in the right (wrong) mood.
So I started playing some other songs, just looking for something lighter or more fun, when I saw a whole bunch of Pink Floyd classics in my Musicmatch Jukebox.
I guess you’ll be knowing what I’m listening to now (hmmm, was that picture a hint? Oh yes, it must be “clocks”). Alright, I’m listening to Time – what gave it away? And let me tell ya, this song is positively cheery in comparison to Kate Bush, even with the “hanging on in quiet desperation” line. Not that I have anything against Katey-did, she’s had some stuff I liked, but I do wonder WTF was I thinking when I bought her latest CD?
Enough. I’ve got a movie to watch.
