Flight Plan

Flight PlanIn the film, Jodie Foster’s husband recently died by “falling”. She and her daughter are headed back home with the coffin in the hold on the flight. Nobody happened to notice the daughter, and at strategic moments, the kid is hiding, or bending down to pick up a toy, or doing something that prevents people from noticing her.

Well our pal, Jodie, falls asleep on the flight. All that stress, tiredness, trying to put on a brave face for the daughter, yada yada. When she wakes there’s no sign of her daughter.

She makes the captain and crew search the plane to look for her daughter because it is protocol to do so. Jodie knows it’s protocol because she is, after all, a plane builder, or an engine builder, or something which makes her know exactly all the parts and nooks and crannies of the plane.

After the crew has bent over backwards for her, the captain receives the report from down on earth that says not only did her husband die, but her daughter died too. So there we have it… Jodie the mental case with no live daughter.

However, when the imaginary daughter was sitting beside her on the flight, didn’t she just happen to draw a heart on the fogged up window. Now Jodie knows that she’s not gone crazy and while under marshall’s care, she has to escape him and go searching once more for her daughter.

Now we know there’s some big conspiracy plan going on here but who’s the culprit? Well that’s for me to know and you to find out. Not a bad movie even though you know what it’s gonna be like. I guess I like Jodie Foster too, so go ahead and rent it.
