What did I do?
I had a fairly busy weekend, and will have a fairly boring week. I got an email about the new job and I’ll be starting on February 1st, so I get another week and a bit of vacation. I should be making the most of it and doing anything I want to do before it’s back to the old grind. Unfortunately, there’s no money yet to do what I like to do best (need I say what that is?).
We took my daughter’s computer in for reformat and reinstall and got that back on Sunday. Needless to say, even today I’m still installing stuff. Now it’s down to the anti-spyware and anti-virus stuff, so I’m almost done with that and everything’s working well so far.
I bought a new firewall for myself today – it’s called Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall, and from what I’ve read about it, it’s one of the better firewalls, preventing more stuff than Zone Alarm, which is what I was using before this (cuz it’s free). But the Kerio one is on special right now for only $14.95 U.S. til March, I think, so I bought it.
On Saturday night we rented Two for the Money with Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey. It was “ehh”… my new voting system… ehh. I’ll rate it a waste of $5 but then there wasn’t much else to rent this week. I could have watched Blind Date tapings and been more entertained.
Today I’m not alone. Apparently my son called in sick, and my honey had to go be a witness on some car accident he saw. He also tells me that he might take off tomorrow too because there’s a job he wants to apply for. That must be some humdinger of a job when you’ve got to miss a day’s pay in order to apply for it. I could be getting laid with all this “unalone time” but, no-o-o-o, my son has to be home sick at the same time. I’m so empathetic and compassionate aren’t I?
So now I guess I should do some surfing. I haven’t built up any points in Blog Explosion lately. Maybe I should go check out the battles. The only problem with getting your points that way is that you don’t score any mystery points. Those of you who don’t know about it, should go sign up. It’s actually quite fun.
Anyway, enough for now. Maybe I should also clean house (please do). Maybe I should also get clothes ready for my first week of work.
Maybe there’s lots of things I should be doing. And maybe I will and maybe I won’t. I’m in a fickle state of mind.
