My Interviews Today
Yesterday’s interview went kaput. As I was getting ready in the morning, I got a phone call from them saying that the head office had hired someone already. Nice notice. Obviously one office doesn’t know what the other office is doing.
Too bad, though. I think that job would have been perfect for me, and there was lots of travel involved. But I guess it’s just as well, since I’d like to take a job somewhere more organized. Where they know whether or not they’re still hiring.
I just got home from today’s interview. And although it went really well, I think I’m looking for more money than they’re paying. That’ll be a shame too since this one is close to home. I left at 9:00 for my 10:30 appointment and I was there at 9:30… time enough to hang out at Tim’s for a while.
I’ll find out more if they call me for the second interview (or don’t call, as is my suspicion).
Last night we watched Martha Apprentice and tonight we’ve got The Donald, so life is still good. Unfortunately, tonight is the big two-hour finale of The Donald, so I don’t know WTF we’re gonna do for TV after this week, especially since The Office seems to be on Christmas holiday season time.
Right now I’m just waiting to see if my honey makes it home for lunch. He has to do some banking, so I may not see him. Life is so boring that I may just have to look through the paper for more jobs. If only I had some shopping money. All this time on my hands and nowhere I can shop.
Oh, there’s always Painkiller. I played it last night and got back up to the big-guy-I-can’t-get-past (unless I’m playing woos level) level. I suppose I can try that, and try, and try.
