Events Today

My daughter and the pink pantherAfter piano we scored a pink panther. Here’s my daughter with her latest find.

We went to my mother’s house, I said I’d like to take the persian rugs, and one of the leather chairs from the family room. Remember the video with my new plant (if you watched it)? I’d put up a foldy chair where we now had space, but I said that we needed to get a real chair for that space. So I’ve taken the skinny leather chair to put there. It goes with the rest of our furniture anyway, since it’s almost all leather.

So we packed up a whole pile of stuff that my son had left there, and boxes of toys for my grandson – whether they’ll interest him or not, I don’t know.

There wasn’t too much of mine there. There were two of my old trunks that I used for the convent, but there was nothing in them of mine; empty trunks. So I didn’t take them. WTF am I gonna do with two old trunks? I’ve got nothing to pack in them.

So after visiting with my aunt and uncle for a while, we headed off home. The rugs and chair were too big to take with all the other stuff, so they’re gonna drop them off on Monday.

Apparently my mother has been asking why I never visit her. She doesn’t seem to remember that she ended this little relationship last Christmas (or was it the Christmas before that?). I’m not even gonna go there again. That was that.

I got the sausage, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and ice cream. I forgot to buy some turnip. And I think we only have half a bag of carrots left. So we’ll have a little more shopping to do tomorrow.

I almost bought my daughter a digital camera today. Well I did buy it. She said she’d need one for her trip in May. And as we were walking out the store, I thought, “WTF am I buying her a digital camera for? I have two at home. She can borrow one of those. So I went back and returned the camera. I’m such a moron sometimes. Anything to spend some money that I don’t have.

So that’s it. I forget the name of the movie I rented for tonight. It starts with an “I” and I think Sean Penn is in it. I’ll let you know how it was tomorrow.
