INXS – J.D. Fortune
Here’s the new lead singer for INXS. The only guy I didn’t vote for for the entire show, has now won the competition.
Good news? He’s Canadian, so that’s nice.
Bad news? I can’t stand the guy. I think he’s a dick. I probably won’t buy INXS music any more (like I used to) with this guy fronting.
I was thinking that maybe it was a fix. When I listened to JD sing last night, I thought he sounded a helluva lot like the original INXS singer. And maybe that’s one of the reasons he was chosen – so their old songs would sound similar.
I was also thinking that his “look” fit well with the rest of the band. Unlike Marty, with his straight, longish blonde hair and white face, this guy seemed to look more like the rest of the band.
I’m disappointed (other than the fact that it’s nice to see a Canadian win something big).
