I Did It
As you can see, I got my hair cut really short again.
After much debate, with myself, I decided that I needed short hair again. It was more “me” than growing it long, meaning not quite as boring as I looked with long hair.
So I saw Paul at 1:30, had a fabulous time with him, and left feeling fabulous, dahlings, simply fabulous.
In celebration I also put up a new pattern on the site. It seems kinda retro to me, which is why I like it – a little less boring than what I had up here.
I modelled it after a pattern I saw at Pixel Decor, whose work I really like, and I’ve emailed Jen (also from Very Big Blog on my blogroll) to make sure she doesn’t mind me having such a similar pattern to hers. I’ll wait to hear from her, but keep your fingers crossed or I might have to create something else.
I took some books downtown to put in the old smoking room, and I got to take about 4 books for later reading too.
I met Emmett for lunch and we had some chinese food. It was good to see him again too after a few months. I’ve invited him and his girlfriend to dinner in a couple of weeks when my daughter’s not here.
I’m thinking that now I’ll look fabulous for my job interviews next week. Damned well better hire me… I look ten years younger (ya, right).
So I’m in a good mood, just drinking my Tim’s and waiting for my honey to get home with another one. I finally got laid last night. Boy, has that been a long time. I was thinking we should do it again tonight, but perhaps we’ll wait for tomorrow so I’ll have a whole day to gear up. Yes, again with the gearing up. You’d think after so long without, no gearing would be needed, but I kinda like the gearing (up or down).
Tonight my plan is to drink copious amounts of brewskis, smoke myself silly, and perhaps watch a movie on TV. That sounds so relaxing. Tra-la-la. I’m not even going to think about my plan to quit smoking again on Monday… that’s too stressful.
