As I’ve mentioned before, I cannot get past level 8-4 in Zuma. The balls always come up that middle part and then I’m screwed.
And I always get it so that I only end up with maybe one extra life and then I lose that one. That’s with me starting the game at level 8, hoping I can finally get past this level.
Well, last night, my honey, for the very first time, got to level 8. And as I was watching him on level 7, he had about 7 lives left. By the time he got to level 8, he had 4 lives left.
I watched in anticipation as he got through 8-1, 8-2 and 8-3. I was dying to see what was past 8-4.
I watched him lose life after life. I was still hoping he’d get through the level, even though I was feeling a bit competitive then… kinda hoping he wouldn’t at the same time just because I’ve never.
Well, he didn’t make it through. Now we’ve both gotten to 8-4 and no further. I wish there was a way to save this game exactly where you have the problem and start fresh with 3 new men and go on, instead of having to start at the beginning of each level.
So after that lost hope, I went back to my Painkiller game. I recall this was a hard level the first time I got through it (I think it took me weeks).
But I can’t remember how I got through this before; what my strategy was, because I’m sure as hell stuck on this level again.
Needless to say that I went back to my Half Life 2 game and, since I’m on the final level, it’s hard to kill all the helicopters on time without my mission being terminated.
I just can’t win. Even when I’ve won them before.

Did you try that F.E.A.R. demo? You get to play it even though it’s called a demo. I’ve tried it – I find it very hard (I’m not good like you), especially when it comes to the shooting. You have to be so damned accurate or you’re dead.
I did try out F.E.A.R (only a little for now, it’s freaky!!). The shooting is difficult but I’m glad there’s the “concentration” (CTRL) ability 
It seemed promising though; will play further 
The demo for Second Sight is a playable demo too but you’d need to download the 600 Mb (or so) file of the full game to get to the 15-minute trial period. Timed trials are ridiculous!

I wish there was a demo for Second Sight because I’d urge you to try it out. There is a full version of the game available on the site but you get to play a 15-minute demo and then you’d have to pay to ge the rest. Silly to download the huuuuge file just for the demo. Anyway, I finished Second Sight today and I really enjoyed the PSI powers (telekinesis, projection, ability to affect people so that they don’t see me, etc.).
Now I’m playing Deus Ex 2. It’s a little annoying having to decide which side to play on (neither’s good or bad) and which quests to do.
