Desktop Widgets

Desktop WidgetsNo, I don’t have a new obsession with my desktop.

But I did find these widget thingies that you can put all over your desktop at Konfabulator.com.

Apparently they were bought out by Yahoo, but there are some really neat things you can download to keep on your desktop.

For example, in the pic I have:

  1. my horoscope
  2. an analog clock
  3. a Flickr uploader
  4. a calendar that will synch with my Outlook calendar and show me today’s events
  5. 3 little buttons that will play amusing recordings that I choose to put on them
  6. the weather for today and the rest of the week
  7. a tic tac toe game
  8. an iTunes remote
  9. a desktop Yahoo search bar
  10. and a slideshow viewer that will show any folder I choose

That’s just what I have on there now. There are hundreds of other things you can put up there, some handy and some amusing.

I have the Yoda with the light sabre – and he says stuff. I have Darth Vader (who breathes and plays the Star Wars theme song), and there are some other amusing little things to get. Go ahead, if you’re an idiot like me, you’ll like this stuff.

On another note, I did not get the job from the other day. I did not get it so much that the guy didn’t even want me to come back for the second interview. The agency woman said he was in a hurry and she didn’t get any great detail from him, but WTF? What up with me that the guy didn’t even want to see me again?

I’m not depressed though. Fuck him. I’ll get a job one of these days. The sun’ll come out tomorrow, betcher bottom dollar that tomorrow, something something.

I did the laundry today. I haven’t done laundry for at least 3 weeks, so it cost me exactly $24.50 at the laundromat. Geez we’re blessed with having so many pairs of underwear.

So now I’m just waiting for my honey to show up with some Tim’s, then he’ll go out with his kids, and then I’ll watch the voting results for Canadian Idol and INXS.

Is your life half as exciting as mine?
