Agency Interview

Well I had my interview with the agency this morning at 9:00. Talk about a shitload of paperwork to do… my hand was starting to cramp up.

I did about 5 tests on the computer and about 4 more on paper. I also had to agree to a criminal check and a bunch more forms, who the hell remembers with all that?

Now this is for me to get some temp work doing admin. assistant kinda stuff, so I also had to do a typing test.

Well I thought that the typing test was a practice. I didn’t realize that it was the test started already and I haven’t really typed a helluva lot in a long time. But I did get 98 wpm with no errors, so I’m just farging lucky with that one (I used to type about 127 wpm). They were impressed with 98, so I’m laughing.

The lowest score I got was 93%, and I got 96% and 100% on all the rest.

So the woman sounded very positive. She said they had LOTS of temp work. We just have to wait for her to do my reference check and my criminal background check. I’m expecting everything good then.

And I’m waiting to be called for a temp job… hopefully by next week.

Tomorrow I’ve got the other job interview – the one for a full-time job. We’ll see how that goes, it’s not until 11:30.

I’m actually feeling good about myself after the way the woman talked to me. I feel in demand for something – at least at this point, let’s see how the demand actually pans out.
