Ooops, I Forgot
Yes, I forgot to write yesterday. That’s because I was busy with my stupid computer. Note that name, “stupid computer”, as opposed to “my beautiful car”.
I’ve been having copy and paste problems once I installed the latest version of Avant Browser (the one I love) and so to get around the problem I created a new user in my Windows XP.
That worked great and everything was fine until I decided to copy over the files from my usual computer logon to my new logon – then I couldn’t copy and paste again.
So I created yet another user logon and started fresh. The only problem with that is that I don’t have access to all the programs from my original logon, so I spent my day reinstalling important stuff (like Zuma) as I had done with the 2nd logon I created.
At one point my mouse wouldn’t even work, so I tried to use my drawing tablet mouse and then that wouldn’t work, so I plugged in a PS2 mouse and as soon as I did that, every other mouse worked.
It was weird but I’ve got my Zuma. I’ve also reinstalled Splinter Cell (which I just bought the other day at Costco cuz it was only $17.99) and let me tell ya, that is one hard game.
It’s got sneaking and peeking and rolling and shimmying. I can’t remember the keys for all the different things so I tried to play while looking through the book at the same time. Let’s hope that gets easier.
On another note, I’m almost at the end of Half Life 2 again *woohoo*. Then I’ll probably not play that again for 6 months. Really, I’d forgotten half the stuff from the game. And I can only play it if I’m logged in under my old logon, so I spent my day switching back and forth. I figure if I’m playing a game, I won’t need to use copy and paste.
I didn’t mention that we rented Constantine on Saturday night. We liked it. It was much better than War of the Worlds, and pretty good as far as horror movies go.
Of course the ending was pretty lame, but we’re thinking that there’ll be a Constantine II coming up. Some of the effects weren’t bad, but I guess Keanu Reeves will now always belong in The Matrix for me.
Right now I’m just gonna go shave my legs and have a shower… get ready for my 3:30 pain session with Mr. Russian Dentist. I hope he’s good (please) and I’m also hoping that this is not one of those dental procedures where you’re in pain for days after.
I guess I’d better have something to eat. Who knows when I’ll be eating again.
