No Free Blinds
Got the call from Sears saying that the blinds were over a year old, and so they’re not covered for replacement. And, of course, they’re not making the same ones any more, so I had to go and buy two new blinds on my Sears card. They’re supposed to arrive on Saturday.
I also went to scope out the spot for the job interview tomorrow. It’s kinda far in comparison to everything I’ve been going to, but I’d still get to drive there. Now I feel comfortable driving there since I know where it is. I’ll leave about 9:30 in the morning for the 10:30 appointment, and I think I should still be early.
I did get a new credit card today, which is great, because I’m going to pay off my Visa with it since the interest is only 3%. I’m so good at saving money these days.
I just finished watching the voting results on Canadian Idol. I tried to vote last night but I couldn’t get through, which is weird, since I voted the week before and there was no busy line. Of course I didn’t take down the test messaging number or anything, so I ended up not voting.
These guys won the top two for tonight, which is a good thing, because these were the ones I wanted to win.
The fat broad reminds me a bit of Jann Arden in her singing style (and perhaps because she’s fat, I dunno). She was the best of the women on last night.
There were some really pathetic singers on there last night. Giselle on the left was singing Brass in Pocket as if trying to showcase her voice (and not succeeding). It made you wish that Crissy Hines would come and slap her upside the head.
Barbara on the right seemed to have an “ok” voice, perhaps with a different song pick she would have been better.
And the worst singer of the night was this broad, whatever the hell her name is, I don’t remember, and nobody else will either.
Get on key, girl, and try to stay on it.
And the one who pissed me off last night? That would be this broad, Devika.
What made me mad was that she talked like Apu on The Simpsons. She’s not from Canada, she just came to live here.
A good looking girl, her voice was not bad, other than having very little power and a little off key, but it pissed me off to think that she might be the “Canadian” idol, when she’s not even Canadian and sounds like Apu.
I was thrilled that Amber and Rex (Canadians) made the top two, at least a Newfie accent is Canadian. Not that I’m a bigot, but it is CANADIAN idol, and I am Canadian.
