Hitch

Hitch (Full Screen)Tonight I’ve rented Hitch, with Will Smith. The ads looked amusing, so maybe we’ll enjoy it, I’ll let you know.

My daughter’s here this weekend since she coughed up my glasses. However, I had to take them to an optical place to see if they could be fixed.

Apparently the middle nose piece has to be replaced. The guy said that it would cost me at least $60 for that since they are not cheap glasses. Isn’t that fucking great. Thanks to my daughter stealing from me, my glasses will now cost me money, like $400 wasn’t enough to pay.

We’ve been out all day, mainly at piano where my daughter did her lesson and had to do a make-up lesson for not showing up next week. I paid for two more weeks of lessons and that’s it then. I don’t have any money left for piano lessons. Either the ex is gonna have to cover it til I get a job, or she will not be having any more lessons.

Last time I had to buy her 3 more piano books with one on order. I picked that up today so it was another $15 out of my pocket. Then she told me the teacher said they had to get one more book. Fuck that. How much money do I have to spend on books for one level. She’s passed grade 2 piano. What am I, made of money? I think the ex can buy the other book too, Christ knows I’ve paid for everything up to this point.

I can’t remember if I mentioned that I had some of our cable services cut back, so instead of paying $128/month it’s now $91.

So today I went to Bell to find out the cost of Express Vu and high speed. He told me I shouldn’t get the high speed, I wouldn’t see too much difference between their DSL lite and high speed.

If I bundled the express vu with the dsl lite it would cost us $64/month including tax but I don’t know if that would be fast enough, the guy told me that it wasn’t as fast as cable, and I’m not overly thrilled with the speed of the cable, even though we have “extreme” which was just a waste of my money as far as I’m concerned.

So I figured I’d take my snookey over there tomorrow to get his opinion. The drawback to this is that we’d either have to buy the satellite dishes, $149 for two and another $99 for the third, or rent 3 of them for $7.00/month. They, of course, recommend buying them.

We’ll see what happens, it’s a drastic change, especially when we might have to switch up to DSL Ultra which costs $59/month by itself, which would then put us up over $100/month again.

I’m cooking some crunchy chicken for dinner and I’ve got to go turn it over for another 10 minutes. Then I’m gonna eat. So that’s it for now.
