I Did the Dishes

I have some dishwashing detergent that smells like apples. It’s a clean, fresh smell that makes you want to do the dishes. Ok, maybe it doesn’t make you want to do them, but it makes doing them enjoyable. So I just did the dishes.

What happened to my blogging on Mother’s Day? Didn’t think of it too much. Was it because I was so busy revelling in my gifts? No.

I was getting my computer reformatted again. Again?!? Didn’t you just have that stinking computer reformatted? Why, yes, I did.

So I don’t know WTF was going on with it, but the monitor kept blacking out and I didn’t know if I was connected or not connected and so I kept rebooting. But then I’d start again and 5 minutes later it would crash.

I tested the monitor and that wasn’t it. So, anyway, I took it over to Eric yesterday and had him go through the motions again. After that I was just a bit busy trying to get some stuff reinstalled – as I was today.

I did manage to get laundry done yesterday too – while the computer was at the shop. So how many things could we possibly forget? Here’s the list:

  1. We forgot the bag of white clothes
  2. We forgot the actual laundry soap
  3. I forgot the php book that I was going to lend Eric for his website
  4. I forgot my OS CDs to give Eric to install on the reformat
  5. I forgot to eat the other half of my tuna sandwich and carried it around all afternoon in my purse

Is that enough? See what you have to look forward to as you get older?

Anyway, today I got up and installed some more stuff. I’m going to keep it as minimal as I can (for me) so that I don’t have to reformat any time in the near future.

Then I went to work out. Yes, I actually did it. However, I didn’t do the 3 rounds of all the machines, I only did 2. That was enough for a first day. And I did the treadmill. So I got some exercise.

I made some fish in our microwave/grill for dinner and it was very nice… crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside. They could probably hire me to do some commercials for them. I’d be into it.

I have been good all day and taking my trainer’s advice – drinking water. I think I’ve had 4 big glasses of it already (which equals about 6-8 glasses). Water is really ookie, but it’s not bad when you jump off a treadmill.

What were my Mother’s Day gifts you ask? I got the megasized box of Lindors from my snookie (just when I was giving that stuff up) and a painted Kleenex box. I think the Lindors were given with ulterior motives, as in, I always share them, and the stylized Kleenex box came equipped with my reading glasses in it, just to make me aware of the many possible uses for that box.

Those of you who are not yet parents have many unknown things to look forward to over a 20-something year span. I share just a few of them here.
