20 Questions

There’s this neat site called 20q.net which is all about 20 questions. It will ask you 20 yes or no questions and, based on your answers, will tell you what you’re thinking about.

My big victory – I stumped it. If you stump it, it will continue to ask you more questions so it can get the answer right. So then when it got the answer right, it said: “You win, but 20Q did guess it eventually”.

Damned sore loser. Just had to rub it in my face that it finally got it right. But I stumped it. Ha, ha.

That’s odd… I remember doing the questions and having to search from a list of words and if the word wasn’t there, it would say that the word isn’t in its vocabulary.
I’m sure I “beat” the system only by answering really badly. The questions are sometimes hard to answer and then it disagrees with me most of the time :D
Interesting system, computational-linguistically, though.
