14 and Living With It
I’ve worn size 14 since I was in my 20s. For those who are short and petite that may sound big, but really it’s not. When I’m a bone rack I can wear a size 12 which is only one size smaller, but I am accustomed to the fact that this will always be my size due to my height and bones.
I can’t tell you how depressed I was a couple of years ago to find out that a woman who was on Weight Watchers had lost some weight and was proud of the fact that she was ‘now wearing a size 14′. The woman was a cow! She was twice the size of me and yet wearing the same sized clothes.
Then there was the woman who was going to the gym every day with me – except that I’d have to force her to go, she’d try and talk herself out of it. She was only about 5 feet tall, she had rolls of fat everywhere, including on her back. Her tits were huge and hung down to her waist (please put that bra back on). She was wearing a size 10. She absolutely grossed me out every time I looked at her, but she wore a smaller size than me.
Anyway, the only reason I thought of all this was because I bought a couple of pairs of knickers at Costco yesterday, both sized 14, and they were both big. I had to return one pair and get a size 12. So I don’t know what’s going on with the sizes lately.
My waist hasn’t gotten really tiny or anything and yet everything I buy seems to have room for an extra half stomach in there. I’m liking the roominess but generally size 12 fits me too tightly so I don’t buy it.
However, I now have a pair of limey green knickers that are sized 12. Let’s hope they don’t shrink too much in the wash since they’re a perfect fit right now.
Last night we rented Ocean’s Twelve. The reviews were right. It sucked. Although I like sting movies, it was hard to follow and not interesting enough to want to follow. So unless you want to gaze at George Clooney, or Brad Pitt, or Matt Damon, or Carl Reiner(?), don’t waste your money. It’s not even worth the $5.38 we paid for rental.
Eric stopped by last night to see what the problem was with our network. Turned out it was something stupid on my honey’s computer – like the firewall was blocking it. Duh. Never even thought to look at that.
Today I have nothing planned. My big sleep in was til 7:30 – I managed to go back to sleep after waking at 6:30. Maybe it’s time to clean up the computer room. I started the other day by picking out boxes (from various programs) to throw out. I don’t know why I always keep the boxes. But we could get those gone and maybe stop off at Value Village to drop off things.
I’m liking it – a relaxing, do nothing Sunday. Maybe I’ll get laid. It’s not relaxing at first but it is relaxing later. That fits into my plans.
