No Rear Window

So I went to my focus group after work, and it only took half an hour. It wasn’t really a focus group but a one-on-one where they asked me all about the mops I would buy.

My honey decided he was going to come downtown and meet me for dinner and go off and look for organizers while I was in the focus group. Since he lost his purse, he has no organizer and it’s hard to find the same kind (they probably don’t make them any more). I offered to give him my organizer since I don’t use it much, but he said, “no, that’s yours”.

So when I finished my focus group I called him on the cell and he told me he was up at Wellesley and Yonge. Wellesley and Yonge! and I was at Yonge and King. Great, so I figured I’d have a little wait for him to arrive.

But then he told me that my car’s rear window had been smashed out. Oh, wasn’t that fucking great. He said he’d be waiting up there after calling the cops and reporting it.

So I walked all the way up to Yonge & Wellesley – it wasn’t spring weather any more. I got there and saw that somebody had actually smashed out the whole fucking window… not just thrown a bottle at it or something – the whole stinking thing was smashed out, except for a few pieces still stuck around the edges.

So I picked out the pieces stuck around the edges, picked up all the pieces that got onto the front car seat and we headed home. I was feeling mad. I was feeling mad at my honey. I was feeling like, “why didn’t you take your own car downtown, why is it always my car?” I was feeling like, “Hey, I offered you my organizer and if you’d taken it you wouldn’t have parked my car downtown somewhere looking for an organizer!”

He said he was only gone for about 15 minutes and got back to the smashed window. So I’m having a beer. And I think I’ll have more beers. I’ve got to replace that window before I have to pick up my daughter on Thursday since she sits in the back seat. And I need someone who gets rid of all the glass.

My honey just duct-taped a green garbage bag over my window. So I made $50 from the focus group tonight and it will probably cost me $250 to fix my window. No one was offering to pay for that. Thanks very much.

Thats really nasty I hope nothing else was damaged or stolen. My son had his car broken into last week while at work and they stone his CD stacker and 5 CD in it as well as the 8 new CD’s in the glovebox. Then on the weekend he left his $600 mobile phone on the roof of the car and it fell off along the highway, never to be seen again. He is not a happy boy.

Are you covered by your insurance for glass? Over here it costs a whole lot extra for glass cover, but it can be worth it if you live in an area where there are continuious road works.

Hope you get it fixed OK.

My insurance doesn’t cover it – I think deductible is $500 and the fucking window turns out to be $200. Fuckheads. I’m certainly happy to pay $200 a month to have to pay another $200 on top of that for somebody who damaged my car.

Those stinking insurance companies have things locked up.

Damn! That f’ing sucks! (pardon my language – it’s been one of those days that have left me swearing like a trucker). I’m sorry to hear about your bad luck today.
