I’m a Little Late

I know, I know, but it’s still Friday to me cuz I’m still up on Friday. Pardon me all to hell.

Tonight we watched The Incredibles. Hey! it was incredible. Great movie. How often do you hear me say that? Not too damned often. Not that I’m a pessimist or anything, but I would classify myself into that “realist” category.

Good movie. Graphics were great, even had some amusing parts for adults (I classify myself there sometimes). Since I now own it, I’m sure I’ll watch it again. Go ahead… buy it if you’re into buying DVDs. I’ve done worse and I’m sure you could too.

I got up about 9-ish today and did dick all except for cleaning up. I did the cleaning up stuff that you never really clean up – stuff you don’t really see.

I did our bedroom – my make-up desk, specifically. The top of it probably hasn’t been cleaned in a year (or maybe it just looks like a year from all that dust and dirt). I also did the middle drawer. Oh no! Not the middle drawer! Yes, the dreaded middle drawer.

I spent half my day trying on the lipsticks that were in that middle drawer. Ok, I spent the other half of my day throwing out those lipsticks in the middle drawer. My lips were raw! So much globbing on, wiping off. My poor lips. There, there. I’m sorry my babies. Numerous Chapstick applications tonight. Look how I take care of you. Yes, it was my fault in the first place, but look at how I look after you. Ok? Are we good now?

You gotta get that The Incredibles movie. How often do I actually recommend a movie… a kids’ movie at that? It’s right up there beside The Emperor’s New Groove. Go ahead, even if you don’t have kids.

So, anyway, part of my bedroom is clean. My honey and my daughter did some cleaning too, even though none of us really wanted to, but WTF else are you gonna do on a holiday where everything is closed? Might as well do some much needed cleaning.

Tomorrow I’ll have to take that ham outta the freezer and buy the rest of the groceries. Now I’m just listening to music (and blogging). I won’t get the big sleep in til 9:00 tomorrow cuz piano lessons call to me.

I have to remember that I have absolutely no money since I’ve bought the new TV and the new monitor. No shopping for me.

And while I’m at it, I am so thankful to have a man who knows me like a book – and loves me anyway. Once this is gone, there will be no one else. Not to be morbid or anything, but I know this will not last forever.

Yes, I know, I get pissed off at him (especially when he takes my car like it’s his), but I’m not even going there at the moment. Go buy The Incredibles and take my mind off the fact that I will never have what I have now.
